How to Hand Mask While you work

IMG_4490.JPG

We’ve all seen it. Your homie across the galley that works like 100 plus hours a month and has hands like the dry cracked earth.  Let’s face it we wash our hands a gazillion times over and over again on the aircraft.. And for good reason. Depending on route hours and how much you work we can easily come in contact with anywhere from 300 to 600 pax a day.. Ewww.

So yeah wash your hands. And then inevitably we put lotion on for what seems like 5 mins only to wash it off again.. So here is my in-flight hand mask for all of us to relish in.

I personally wear my gloves throughout service. Mainly because its gross getting all sticky with the extreme amount of soda and juice and coffee we pour over and over again. With my gloves I work faster because I’m not thinking about that. Also, sanitary wise.. I feel like passengers appreciate it as well, I mean I cannot guarantee everyone washes their hands as often as they should.. IDK personally yeah all around.. GLOVES.

So that being said, Here is my go to hand mask that I do every single flight. Not at all exaggerating. If you’ve flown with me then you know..

Around Hawaiian we all kinda really dig Trader Joes Hand Cream its thick and I even rub it in my cuticles if I can remember.. Lol, anyway, seriously, ANY hand lotion or cream will suffice. I also like to mix it with Papaw Ointment which really seals the deal or moisture if you will..

Lube up and put your gloves on … I promise you, so fkn simple, yet life changing.

Here’s a lil how to below.. You know for the visual ..

Shout out to a cpl babes on a mish for helping me out ..
