Products I love: Lux Unfiltered

I need to give these products a lil intro. First off, I have been following along the process with the creator Sivan Ayla since I feel like the very beginning. Though that’s not entirely true- it certainly has felt that way since Sivan has taken her followers along for the ride via Instagram. I tried N°32 Hydrating Self Tanning Cream when it was first launched in 2019- and being a flight attendant I was lucky enough to hop a flight and got to go to the pop up to purchase my first bottle! I actually wrote about it here as well.

As a fair skinned woman- I always want a tan, but on the real it completely makes me cringe to purposely fry my delicate wrinkle prone self by laying out. I am religious about sunscreen.

So when Sivan launched this product I had to try- she has rarely if ever steered me wrong. As you can already guess- it did not disappoint. It gave me a subtle glow and I when I do get some sun on my legs ( or lower back ) from surfing, I like to use N°32 to keep that color around for as long as possible.

Fast forward 2 years and Sivan has launched a slew of follow up products, including bronzing face drops, lotion, lip balm, and body scrub- all with catchy phrases on each box, like “Scrub away the bullshit”, “I’m a better person with a tan” and “Real Beauty. No Filter”. After you apply all this bronzing hydrating goodness you can slip on a cozy robe as well. Yep you guessed it- Lux Unfiltered also has an oversized one size fits most Terry Cloth Robe embroidered with “Feel Good Naked”. The marketing genius is just *chefs kiss*. 

The best part is its all legit. As in it does what it says, “gradual self-tanning cream that will give you a natural-looking glow and color”. I can attest! And it all feels like a lil luxury. The Bronzing Face Drops N°12, are hydrating and give you a slight glow good enough to ditch any foundation, or blush. The Hydrating Body Cream N°14, in the scent Santal is addicting AF, and I personally like to double it as my perfume when I fly. Subtle but sweet. Refreshing. Hydrating. all the things.

On the nights I want to tan my entire body I like to use the Exfoliating Body Polish N°28 to scrub away dead skin cells, even out my skin tone, and eliminating dullness- to be sure the color really sets in. Another smell good and kinda a perfect match- you can get the Complete Body Kit to really get the entire experience. Which happens to be a really great gift; not only for a bestie, auntie, mom, sister, or cousin but for you too!

Sometimes I’ll  blend N°32 with the body cream or any lotion of your choice and it helps more or less maintenance your tan if you will.

As you can see I have really taken to this line. I live where the Hawaiian sun can kiss you golden and on the same day burn you red. Though I enjoy that vitamin D ( and all that it does offer ) - there is and I hate to admit this, but too much of a good thing. That’s where LuxUnfiltered comes in for me. Vegan. Cruelty free.

And in this life, it’s my lil luxury.
