What, Why, and How I keep motivated and moving on the road…

I grew up watching my mom workout in our living room at 5:30am every single morning, she use to be a Jazzercise teacher and would bring me up on stage… I guess you could say I was born into it, health and fitness that is.
Although there are countless reasons to workout, these a re few things that help keep me motivated , why I do it, and how I stay in shape despite my packed schedule on and off the plane.
1.) I’m vein enough to say it..I like the obvious results of taking care of yourself.
I think we all have a personal goal or “look” we hold of ourselves and no I’m NOT talking about trying to be your ‘skinny’ weight in high school.. good grief.. let’s be honest, age does play a small if not large factor on how our body reacts to eating healthy and staying active. If you’re reading this I’d assume you’re an adult.. which means you know there’s just no way in hell you'd want to be 16 again or think that’s an appropriate goal.. I’m talking about FEELING your best inside and that equates on the outside.. it really does. We all have that pic of “when I was in my best shape” or better yet.. your happiest.
The truth is, ONLY you know yourself & your body.. the scale won’t tell you your not at your best, you can feel it and for most of us that’d be in our clothes. All in all its a constant battle.. best advice from mom “Size up - no one knows what size your wearing but you”
TRUDAT..
2.) It is literally my moving meditation.
I’d like to include specific workouts like yoga, surfing, or even crossfit but they don't quite do me justice like a good solid run. MY tride and true trot is always there for me to collect my thoughts and work things out.. I can solve worldwide problems on a solid run.. lol or so I think.. When my Dad passed a few years back, IDK what I’d do without my solid runs. Its when I grieved and let most of my tears flow.. then would walk thru my door feeling refreshed, renewed, & ready to carry on. Some ppl pray on it, sleep on it, I run on it.
3.) Last but certainly NOT LEAST.. IT COMPLETELY PROPELS me into my day!!!
No Fkn JOKE. I try my absolute hardest to workout FIRST THING in the morning ( also b/c I kinda wanna get that shit outta the way ) but truly, after a solid workout I feel like I’m MFKN SUPERWOMAN.. FORREAL!!! I am obnoxiously happy & motivated ———> and sweating out a cpl glasses of wine feels good too.. #cheerstothat
The hardest part is consistency. PERIOD. My general rule is after 15min if you still don't feel like it.. then STOP. I have. But 70% of the time… you’ll keep going.
It is not easy when your busy or traveling constantly such as myself.. but don't lie to yourself either.. I try for an hour on the treadmill or look up a mini crossfit workout on Pinterest using your own body weight.. something feels better than nothing. Below is one that really kicks my butt and as you can see I carry it with me everywhere..
A quick do ANYWHERE effective workout, cultivated at my gym with the help of one of my beloved coaches.
Another good on the road investment is a jump rope.. this one is a killer!!
