No mess NO work Ribs in the Crockpot
These are a slight turn off the road to traditional Ribs, but nonetheless, anything slow cooked is ujj DeLishhh..
Ingredients:
1 Full RACK of St. Louis Style Ribs.. cut in half.. To fit in the Crockpot
or whichever is on sale! I find the St. Louis Style is a bit wider and has more meat but it is basically preference and for me the cheaper..
1 large white onion
Salt & Pepper
**I prefer this BBQ sauce for a couple reasons:
It falls on my default Paleo regime.
And that’s why. I enjoy saving all my unecessary sugar content for wine, a good piece of chocolate.. You know where it’s appreciated. And I I don’t appreciate it hidden in my condiments.
IT IS super yummy..AND FLAVORFUL
Directions:
Liberally salt and pepper both sides of the ribs.
Cut onion in half so you create “rings “
Create a bed of onion rings on the bottom of your crockpot and then place one of the halves on t op, S&P and then stack onions on top to create another layer for the other rack to sit on top and repeat.
Set Crockpot on Low for up to 10hrs or if you are behind sched or don’t want to wake up that early- you can also do Low for 6hrs as well .. And go about your day.. Whether it be work or play.
When you return and you can smell your house down the block, use tongs to remove these juicy Ribs on to a plate with they’re juicy lil onions.. Pour out the remaining juices created from the ribs.. Place ribs and onions back in the pot and pour on that damn good Bone Suckin’ Sauce.. Put on high for another hour while you prep your sides, salad, or have a can of wine ( my personal fav is Union Wine Co. Pinot Noir.. perfect match ) and relax some more!
For Sides:
As of late I am roasting anything and everything. Recently I made this dish with roasted Okinawan sweet potatoes and broccoli.
Toss with olive oil bake at 410° for 20 mins - super easy, filling, healthy and damn DELISHHH..
