A Few of my Go to TRAVEL Snacks
Look it is not easy to stay on a healthy snack track when you are traveling.
Espesh if your a flight attendant, in fact it is a conscience effort to pack your lunch when your tired, then snacks for all that in between time ( and trust there can be a lot or a little, but it is there ).
If you follow me on instagram or fly with me you know I religiously bring my own food.. for my fav travel salad and other travel friendly meals you can find ideas here. or go to DISHONAMISH
I feel like after 3 years I have a solid group of go to and favs that keep me fueled and refreshed.
Chopped Red Bell Pepper- So crisp, refreshing, and flavorful AF. By far one of my favs to bring. Durable and also offer hydration.
Almonds/or any Nuts- I prefer unsalted, just because in the air the salt can really blow you up. High in protein a couple handfuls can really fill a void, and help curve your hunger in a pinch. Easy to pack and last for a week plus, I try to always have some in my bag. PLUS if you have a cocktail, they’re a good nibble too.
Popcorn.. DUH! You know I’m obsessed. But I do try and watch which ones I’m guzzling down. I pretty much dig on two brands. Lesser Evil and Skinny Pop.
Hard Boiled Eggs. They can be a lil stinky. Okay they are, but I am pretty unphased by it these days. I eat eggs everyday, and when I am on the road it is no different. They can be eaten cold or not, and travel quite easily, a protein source that really sticks to the ribs and keeps you full, hard boiled eggs are always with me..
Grain Free granola bars ( or oatmeal )- I follow a paleo diet ( sometimes strict, sometimes not ) and whatever the diet there is a “bar” for you. They last forever and easily slip in any little zipped up compartment. I prefer these.. But again any granola bar or protein bar will work, for when your stuck on the runway or in a terminal when nothing is open.. I really like these.
Grain Free chips of any kind.. specifically Siete Chips! They come in so many different flavors, again makes me feel a lil more guilt free when I’m snacking..
Always Fruit if I can.. bananas travel well, so do grapes.. cut apples..
I follow a lil bit of a paleo regiment, but clearly whatever your guideline is, modifications can always be made.
In fact please lmk what you travel with!! I am always down for a switch up.. Plus I know all my Babes out there got their own goodies..
