Babe On A Mish of the MONTH

SIVANAYLABLOG.jpg

It’s hard to really start this blog without gushing from the start. But when I say I have looked to this power house of a business woman for years I am not at all exaggerating. Sivan Ayla was the very first actual “blogger” I started following. Meaning she had a website and her content was not solely on Instagram. I feel like as women we are all bloggers really, just not all of us put it in print. Like for example, when any random woman compliments you on you’re dress in line at the store- and your so stoked on it, you shout “I got it at Target- ON SALE for like $20 bucks! And it has pockets too!”.. or when you simply swap recipes- or let a homie know that using a lemon to clean your sink is a life hack you can’t live without. What most don’t realize, as they roll their eyes to this industry, is the jokes on them- we are all influencers, and you are constantly being influenced.

If you don’t know Sivan she is an OG Blogger, who has turned her major influence into 2 brands. TanLines which you have seen me in for years and LuxUnfiltered, a beauty line that strategic has played on the social media society that we live in today-using a play on words as the name of the line- meaning when using these products- its so good, there is NO Filter necessary- see that marketing genius?  Both of these items made my Lipstick Effect part 1 and part 2 Lipstick Effect Beauty.

More than stats tho- and an autobiography I could just copy and paste, Sivan is my BOAM of the month because her tips, tricks, and transparency in the blogging world hasn’t just influenced me- it has inspired me, and quite literally propelled me into my blog today. From the moment I found out about blogging, I knew I wanted to be a creator but never really actually knew “how to”.

More than that, I put it off, was hesitant about how I would be perceived, what others would say, and the online ether of judgiie wudjie friends and foes- but Sivan's blunt IDGAF attitude annnnd success proved that self assurance ( hard work and consistency ) is really all you need. I remember reading one of her blogs or maybe she shared this on her story but the message was this “Shamelessly promote yourself” - because if your not hyped on what you're doing- no one else will be.

That really stuck with me. Like, “yeah why wouldn’t I hype my shit up?” Promote it, talk about it, and have fun with it. I believe that is a huge part of any and all success as a blogger ( or any business for that matter). For some reason I felt shame, or shy about this at first- but why wouldn’t you promote something you worked so hard on?

In the beginning of creating a blog- you find yourself wearing every hat in the store..You become the graphic designer, the photographer, the editor, the marketing director, its so so much more than the words you want to share. What most don’t know, including myself- until I started on the this venture, is truly how much work being an online creator is.

Sivan is laser focused and a true hustler. She is the Pinterest Queen, which is vital in blogging, she listens intently to her audience, and because of that you feel like she is your online BFF. Seriously. She talks to you about everything from her fav Rosé - which again heavily influenced- to the nose trimmer you have to have.  She pumps out blogs weekly- all interesting and vital AF- her online magazine ( as I like to call it), is a place I can go to on any given day and click around, still find things that are relevant years after written, or recipes I still haven’t tried.

Much like your fav issue of Cosmo, but a bit more tailored to you..because you choose these topics- Sivan draws from her readers for inspiration, and to be blunt- bitch can read a room.

What I admire most is her tenacity, consistency, and creativity. And how she without a doubt takes me ( and the rest of the 400k) along with her on this ride called life. She has demonstrated what working hard in a “saturated industry” looks like- and that includes success. I trust every one of her recommendations because I know she has a level of expectation for herself- and ugh so do I.

I have been following her since about 100k, back when she was the doughnut queen, and before her two kids, it was Lyla and Olive ( her 2 doggies ) .. and though life has obviously changed for her ( and the rest of us), the one thing has remained the same- she is always providing value to me, always sharing with no strings attached. This has been a blogging honor to feature Sivan, as this months BOAM of the Month.

Although she does share nearly everything- the 10 questions that every BOAM of the month is asked always seem to show a little bit more than you’d probably assume you might know- like what’s one of the worst moments that has made you better? What’s the worst part of your personality? ANNND if given the chance would you be a hero or villain for the day??

Keep reading to get the latest deets on the one and only Sivan Ayla.. who is without a doubt a mega BABE ON A MISH..

I didn’t know that about Walker! Also without a doubt the hardest thing is to be the bigger person.. I love when people finally give in and want to be a villain..because SAME!

More than anything- this is a MAHALO blog to an influence that has spawned much further than clothes, make-up, recipes, and home decor. As creators or users of social media- we often can get stuck in our curated bubbles, but when you can actually influence and help people facilitate their passion- thats the ultimate win. Sivan has done that for me- all while keeping me up to date on everything else in life..

My goal as a blogger and with Babe On A Mish is to always provide you with value and keep it REAL. To influence beyond my latest recommendation- to possibly inspire you.. because you know what?

We’re all Babes on a mish.

Who has inspired your recent passion project? Do you follow Sivan?

If not you can find her on IG @sivanayla or get more value on her website https://www.sivanayla.com/
