Wellness Challenge

I have often said I love a good challenge. One of my favorite parts about reading Fitness magazines back in the day was reading about how people would challenge themselves, to essentially loose weight, but nonetheless they were making key changes to better their overall health. It has always motivated me. I should preface this by saying, I also have a slightly obsessive personality, so when am all in- I AM IN.

I tend to think its a good quality, but as Simon likes to remind me- less is more. That may be true in most cases but lately I have been consumed with the idea of challenging myself in other ways that don’t just result in vanity metrics.

Wellness, in general, has always been a key corner stone in my life. However, to be completely honest its always been physically driven. As I have gotten a tad older I have felt my mind shift, to taking a deeper look on how I react to people, to myself, and what am I doing now, has made me realize wellness also comes from within.

For me, it’s been reading the Daily Stoic regularly, drinking water before my coffee every morning, and being super intentional on my phone time. But as March creeps in on me, I have gotten the itch to really commit in other ways that can help me be better. More consistent. Which brings me here to you-

As much as I love alone time, I also really enjoy the company of doing things with others- more or less an accountability buddy.. so I am asking- wanna be that buddy with me? Nothing too crazy us babes on a mish can’t handle.. just a couple small changes, that will make us feel mentally strong and physically better..

  • movement ofc

everyday 20 mins- and 50% of the time- outside. Fresh air and if possible sunshine!

  • gratitude journaling

3 things you are grateful for everyday

  • starting your day with no phone/ social media/ emails for the first 30mins and ending it with no phone 30mins before bed

  • drink water.

Essentially the goal is to drink first thing in the morning and before you find yourself thirsty. I like to aim for a liter a day, but this is all very relevant per person.

  • eat one gut healthy food a day.

yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, almonds, avocados, apples.

  • give yourself a compliment daily.

  • Cold plunge / ice cold shower 3mins / or ocean!

And last but certainly not least, set yourself up for success, whether that be a meal prep, setting your clothes out before bed, listening to an educational podcast, reading a good book, or being more organized this month, do something that is going to help you be better version of your-self!

I know we are all Babes On A Mish, that why I wanted to keep this minor, or as attainable as possible. DO just one, or do all seven- I do know small little changes everyday can make all the difference. Comment below anything you think we should add or let me know we’re in this together! Tag me on IG anytime you are doing the following and I’ll enter you in a GIVEAWAY at the end of the month! Not sure what yet but we pretty much have the same taste so trust it’ll be good!

More than anything I’m stoked to have you with me, whether that be cheering me on or participating- I appreciate you Xx.
