So what’s been going on with this Babe On A Mish?

I thought I’d send out an email of a few life updates. There was a moment in time where I was a regular name you’d see in your INBOX, and I want to get back there. My goal this month is to write a blog a week. This is the only part of the internet that is truly mine. So I wanted to get back in my space, add some new content and offer you exclusivity for being on my email list.

Here’s the tea- I am moving! After over 10 years in my lil apartment on the edge of diamond head, I am making a move, and to be honest I’m hoping not too far. Being on Zillow these past few months has felt a lot like being on a dating app or more like I’ve been married for 10 years complaining I wanted something new and fresh and then I was granted the divorce only to realize everything I ever wanted I already had.. and Zillow has felt like a series of bad dates- one so bad I found a hole in the floor with a screen where I could see the dirt.. its been rough. The optimist in me is confident something is waiting for us. 

But I have been getting pretty sentimental about it all. Its was about 12 years ago when my mom was visiting me, we walked by this neighborhood- I remember vividly showing it to her. I told her I’d live here some day. And then I did. After moving across the country and an ocean, I felt like I had finally made my way. A real Carrie Bradshaw moment. How I got this place and the full circle moment is a time for another blog but lets just say it was all really surreal.

Besides that, as some of you have seen, I really have picked up my flying. I’m finally at a seniority where the pay is better and so is my schedule. I’m also really trying to make my way as a content creator on the side. It has really become a passion of mine. I’ve hopped on TikTok and having a lot of fun on that app- also have managed to create a community of over 10K on there which is a big deal for me. Essentially, as I have written about before, in this business numbers are a BIG factor. 

Creating videos, more or less *little commercials* for brands is super fun for me. By this time next year I’m hoping flying will be more of the side gig and be working as a full time content creator. SO if you know a business that needs a UGC ( user generated content ) creator drop your girls name pahhhlease! It’s a hustle but I’ve always been that way and on that note -for anyone wondering I am still walking the dogs. My COVID side hustle I just can’t quit..

I’d say some other personal changes for me lately have been- prioritizing my time, keeping my word to myself, and believing the fact that everything is temporary..

Those 3 things have created a positive ripple effect and realistic mind change that has made me an overall happier person.

I have a few trips planned this fall- to see my mom here later in the month, stop over in NY maybe, then to make it back to my hometown Tampa, Fl for my 20 year high school reunion. Which is in a word- WILD. 

I know this was a tad longer than my usual posts in the past but we hadn’t really touched base in a while so I wanted to catch you up to speed on a few things with me.
